As I’ve explained in the Q & A on June 11 I got stuck with the task of giving numbers to my rooms/areas. I realised that there is nothing I can improve which is in my hands. There are things that can be improved to bring me closer to the feeling I want to experience – but in this case these improvements are not in my hands. E. g. noisy and smoking neighbours, windows which have no sound insulation (although they were just built in before I mooved in), floors which are uneaven and not properly layed out… So that finally brought me to the insight that the next step for me is to moove! So instead of putting numbers to rooms I started searching the internet for suitable flats… And I had the insight that moving just makes sense for me when I really do improve in things which are important for me. You will find Rima’s great question to help me with my next step in the recording of the Q & A.
I have very diligently prioritized to protect my bedroom, which also holds my meditation space. No matter how much of a mess everything else is, this needs to be clear. It is a physical manifestation of deciding to protect and care for me (with limited succes, but the physical space at least is relatively controllable). To protect the “recharging” sides of life. Of course it is still a living space, but I’ve succeeded in this – which the ratings clearly shows.
The apartment feels like I haven’t really lived here. That it has just been the place I am in. I moved in in mid-January and time could be a factor here. So could the much too many things I own, which means that I still have some moving boxes with stuff that needs to be handled. It has been solitary. Not joyful. Corona is one thing, but I have not been prioritizing social engagements that much either. My focus has been elsewhere. If I were to move out tomorrow, I would not feel like there were any particular memories to take with me.
I am not quite sure what I am meant to be posting for this lessons – however I will follow Noelle and write about my best moments in my current apartment have been the inpromtu dancing in the kitchen with my husband or me dancing to an african compilation superwoman track in the living room just because the track is so inspiring. These moments surprised me as they were all spontaneous and in the moments filled with laughter and joy and I can see now how they reflect the woman I want to be….
Feeling lighter and more energy. Sleeping spaces provide rest and prepare me for new possibilities. Images from the past, connecting to current reality, exploring ideals.
One of the best moments in my bedroom was, when I had painted the wall like planned, put away all the stuff and tools, replaced the bed with a feeling of ” task completed, well done” and – found out that it didn’t work like this, because the corner had to be painted too to give the whole thing the right balance…to refuse a non working compromise made me feel lucky and strong, even more as I refused (to my tendency to impatience) to do it right away, as I really felt tired and hungry that evening. Did it the next day, no matter, right?
